Overview
Avancher offers a fun and interactive experience by allowing users to collect stamps and complete missions by filling in a themed map. These maps are created using information provided by app users, particularly local residents. Upon completing a map, users earn a badge that corresponds to the map's theme.
Problems & Goals
We identified a few issues with existing mobile apps like TripAdvisor and Yelp. While these apps are widely used and provide extensive information, they often lack a focus on specific interests.
Avancher bridges this gap by combining valuable information with an engaging, fun experience. Through partnerships with local businesses in Vancouver, it creates a synergy that encourages users to revisit places based on their interests. This approach aims to revitalize the regional economy while supporting local businesses
Competitors
Unlike its main competitors, such as TripAdvisor and Yelp, Avancher stands out with its unique feature: the stamp tour. Unlike competitors, Avancher offers a tailored experience by providing specialized information that caters to individual interests and preferences, while also combining information, entertainment, and rewards in one platform.
Logo
The initial version of the logo, featuring a stamp design, highlighted the app's focus on stamp tours. However, I opted for a simplified and cleaner design.
The refined logo incorporates the 'A' from Avancher, which also resembles a navigation icon on a map, symbolizing its identity as a travel app.
